CEO Dr. Phil S. Yang
Dr. Phil S. Yang is the founder and chairman of CKT group. He is also the CEO of UnitedCom, a SNS platform for digital seniors created together with Yonhap News Agency, Korea’s only state media company. He is the founder of the law-related social media platform, LawCom (www.lawcom.org). He was the 2017 Candidate for the People’s Party presidential primaries for the Republic of Korea presidential election. He is also the Chairman of the Board for a number of companies in both Korea and China including CKT Development, Eastern Beauty, TKNet and Beijing Dongmei Investment. He was formerly a Professor at Konkuk University and founder of MChinatown, a venture company to set up the first cyber Chinatown. Along with MChinatown, Dr. Yang established the Seoul Chinatown Development Committee (“SCDC”) and Seoul Chinatown Development Co., Ltd. Under his leadership, the SCDC spearheaded the movement to establish the green card system in Korea. He is also advisor to the Tsinghua University Education Foundation; International President of Jilin Vocational College, Changchun, PRC; Director of the Research Institute of Chinese Enterprise at Konkuk University; Adjunct Professor of Tsinghua University; Business Ambassador of Qingdao Municipal Government, PRC; and the co-founder of a charity fund “22 Friends” for the “comfort women.” He graduated from Kyungi High School and received his BA in Chinese Literature from Korea University and Ph.D. in Chinese History from University of California, Los Angeles.
